2020 Montepulciano Artist Series
The Toast of the Coast Wine Competition: Silver
Tasting notes
Montepulciano (maan·tuh·pul·chee·aa·now) is a classic,Italian wine grape and one of the most widely planted grapes in Italy. The grape makes deep red wines and is adaptable to traditional or modern wine making styles which can produce rustic, medium-bodied red wine similar to those of central Italy. Montepulciano AKA “The Full Monte”® is 100% varietal wine originating from the Abruzzo region of Italy. This handcrafted wine was aged in small American oak barrels for 12 months then finished aging in our large french oak cask “Monte”. Enjoy with red meats and for a special treat with dark chocolate covered strawberries.
