2016 Estate Negroamaro
Tasting notes
Negroamaro is a dark, thick skinned, red Italian grape with black-violet skin, capable of producing world class wines, with medium-high tannins. Originating from the Puglia region of Italy, the Negroamaro vine, is vigorous, adaptable and drought resistant, which makes it the perfect varietal for growing in the Temecula Valley. Puglia is one of Italy’s 20 wine regions, and is one of the easiest to remember because it constitutes “the heel” of the “Italian boot.” Our 2016 Negroamaro is 100% Estate grown, hand picked and hand selected. The wine is rich with spicy notes, red fruit, coffee, blackberry and also possesses a smooth velvety oak finish. This vivacious wine pairs well with spicy food or by itself.
