2019 Coda Di Volpe
Tasting notes
Coda di Volpe (KOH-dah dee VOL-peh) originates from the Campania region. The name “Coda di Volpe” can be translated to “tail of the fox.” The name is believed by some people, to refer to the long, drooping shape of the grape bunches; its been said that - if you squint really hard and turn your head to the side, the grape bunch resembles a fox's bushy tail! This wine is a well balanced dry white wine with crisp acidity, aromatic profile leans towards fruity and slightly tropical citrus with hints of melon. This luscious wine will match well with shell fish, roasted chicken and Parmesan dishes with black pepper. Cougar Winery was the first winery to get this varietal recognized in the US, so you are drinking history!
